What is Giant Scam?
It’s a tiny game dev studio in Nashville named Giant Scam Industries. It’s not a scam. It’s a legitimate company.
Giant Scam was formed in 2017 by Jesse, who is an Engineering Lead by day, and Charlie, who is an excellent Game Designer and Twitch Parter. Today our crew consists of Jesse, Charlie, our technical artist Tanner, and our infrastructure engineer Brandon. We partner with local collective Strange Handle AV for music and NPALL Audio for SFX. We collaborate closely with the Nashville Game Developers group and also host the bimonthly Game Dev House Party series.
Our first game, a VR rhythm game named “Chop It”, released on Steam in September 2018. Alongside that release, we released an open-source solution for procedural rhythm games that is detailed under the “Algorithmic Beat Mapping in Unity” section of our blog.
Now, we’re gearing up for our next VR title, which will be announced in Q2 2019.
