Apprehension — is something bad about to happen?
Apprehension is my friend and foe.
Sometimes she is for my growth and purpose.
To become a better individual;
able to learn from careless mistakes.
Sometimes she terrifies me.
Making me want to
hide in a rabbit hole and
Never face reality again.
Apprehension is familiar yet not so.
When it comes to making decisions,
she enjoys handholding me,
Raising my thoughts as if
they were her children.
Apprehension is uncertainty — past, present and future.
From within the head, to the core of the heart.
she has time in the palm of her hand.
Deceiving the brilliant,
externalising our internal War,
train-wreck, chaos.
Apprehension is a killjoy.
More often than not, we find ourselves
Giving in to her,
Letting her take full advantage and control of
our life’s many woes.
Would it be any better if
We depend on our capable selves
and Perhaps,
give Apprehension a break?
