Toast the Holiday Season

Don’t just survive; thrive this year thanks to liquid courage from one (or all) of these Thanksgiving-themed cocktails.

Get the bar cart ready; the family is coming over! No matter how much you love your family, there’s always a certain level of anxiety that comes with hosting relatives this time of year. Well, shake it up to shake it off! And don’t forget to stock up your bar ahead of time using our Bottom’s Up wish list as your guide.

Time to stock up for when the family is in town.

Check two items off your fall-flavors wish list with a Pumpkin and Apple Cider Fizz that uses leftover pumpkin puree. Use store-bought vanilla vodka, or infuse your own. It’s like liquid dessert; your tastebuds will thank you.

Highball glass, meet your new best friend.

Leftovers can also be put to use in a Cranberry Sauce Margarita — an unlikely pairing that conjures images of a beach holiday getaway and gives new meaning to “pass the cranberry sauce, please.”

Holiday cocktails can be a vacation for your tastebuds, too.

Not all cocktails need to be sweet, though. But don’t be fooled; the Turkey and Sage Cocktail contains no actual poultry, just the aptly named bourbon. It’s a noticeably herbaceous, slightly bitter, and oh so sippable nightcap.

The flavors of Thanksgiving in a glass.

Of course, we didn’t forget the kiddos. Let them feel like they’re participating with a mocktail, like a fresh Rosy Cranberry Cider or traditional Mulled Cider (both of which would be equally drinkable with the addition of ginger liqueur, just saying). Cheers!

Alcohol doesn’t have to have all the fun at the holidays.
