GIFTO Roadmap
At Asia Innovations, our core value is to deliver innovative technologies to the digital consumer market. Our experience with building products for more than 100 million users across multiple countries, languages, and cultures tells us that adoption of any new model or technology presents a unique set of challenges. Some consumers may be unfamiliar with cryptocurrency, blockchains, or even HTML5, while others may seek to exploit vulnerabilities in technology and imbalances in knowledge. We are keenly aware of the various pitfalls and will implement the appropriate strategies and countermeasures to ensure the successful adoption of Gifto Protocol ecosystem.
Below are some of planned strategies to drive mass consumer adoption:
- Start seeding with an existing sizable user base: we will, at the right time, enable our wallet technology to current users of Uplive and use marketing techniques that will ensure seamless adoption of Gifto as an additional mean for gifting
- Deploy solutions quickly to get feedback and continuously iterate: our experience has always been centered on delivering great user experience. Our early adopters are key for us because they are the most vocal and strong advocates to improve our UI/UX.
- Design highly elegant, user-focussed technology interfaces for seamless experience: again, we pride ourselves with our abilities to produce designs which are unrivaled. Our virtual gifts insofar have delivered the best experience to both our broadcasters and users.
- Use power of viral marketing and promotion to drive peer-to-peer recommendations: we have executed many marketing and promotional programs before, with a strong focus on delivering fun and meaningful virtual experiences.
- Employing effective branding image and strategy: differentiation of our users’ experience is key to maintain our leading position in the live streaming industry; we aim to apply that experience to deliver the Gifto Protocol in similar ways: simple and beautiful.
Gifto Protocol ecosystem will be rolled out in several phases as follows:
Preparation: Seeding Gifto with Uplive users
Once Gifto Wallet is available in Uplive app, we will allocate Gifto Tokens gradually to paying users in Uplive, to seed the user base for Gifto, as these users are already paying for virtual gifts on a regular basis.

Phase 1: Alpha version: centralized Gifto Protocol working in external content platforms.
The Alpha version of Gifto Protocol will be available to content creators by the end of 2017. This is still hosted on Uplive systems and domain. The goal is to quickly iterate the user experience to enable any content creator to easily use Gifto to start monetizing their content.
Phase 2: Beta version: Decentralized Gifto Protocol in Blockchain working in external environment.
Beta version of decentralized Gifto Protocol, deployed on blockchain that is available for anyone to use within Q1, 2018. Will be a hybrid on/off chain server to support fast transactions. Ecosystem function support is partial, incentives/checks for participants will be limited.
Phase 3: Commercial version 1 of Gifto Protocol launch.
Full ecosystem enabled, with commercial-grade fast transaction blockchain server by Q3, 2018
Ongoing iterations and expansions.
For any commercial system, commercial launch represents 10% of the work. As the rubber meets the road and content creators scale, most of the development work will continue to happen at this stage.
