A Message from Andy Tian, CEO and Co-Founder of Uplive

Welcome everyone to our weekly update!

Related Product Offerings

This week, the development of our GIFTO Wallet is almost complete. Our QA team will conduct product testing starting next week. The basic functions for this version of the wallet will include:

  • Sending gifts to friends via direct message within Uplive. This will be GIFTO’s gifts first use-case within Uplive.
  • Temporarily halt the function of using uDiamonds to purchase GTO while we continue to implement KYC.
  • We will guide users to purchase GTOs directly from exchanges.

Ask Andy Anything (AAA)

We have conducted another session of AAA with our Telegram Community on Tuesday, April 10th. We will share the content with everyone once it is ready. Thanks to everyone for participating in the discussion this morning!

Easter Egg Event

The number of participants in our Easter Egg event last week hit an all-time high with 18,000 participants and a total of 71,579 GTOs in rewards. A tremendous number of users took a whack at GIFTO games over the Easter holiday.

In the aftermath of the event, we have seen an increased interest in knowing more about our plans for new games.

Currently, GIFTO’s priorities are divided into the following categories:

  • New user acquisition activities: GIFTO Easter Egg and Rotary Event
  • GIFTO Competitions: GIFTO Nerd Club Trivia, Virtual Gift Design Competition
  • Social Gifting activities: Valentine’s Day Event
  • Q&A activities: Ask Andy Anything (AAA)

In the future, we will reduce the emphasis on new user acquisition activities and focus on other activities to increase community participation. However, regardless of what activities we do, our goal is always to implement the most interesting events to integrate Asia Innovations Group’s ‘gamification’ genes into these events.

We believe that we have sufficient users across the globe. The focus now is to engage these users to further their understanding and familiarity with GIFTO.

GIFTO’s Q2 Operations and Product Plan

This week, we will realign with everyone about our operation and product plan for Q2. For a detailed version of this, you can visit our Medium post from last week: https://medium.com/@gifto/gifto-weekly-update-3-april-2018-6e8841b9a493

GIFTO Wallet

  • Open our wallet to our Mandarin-speaking regions (Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) first and then gradually release to the rest of our users worldwide within the next 3 months.
  • Halt the function of using uDiamonds to purchase GTO temporary. We will include it once users become more familiar with the process of the wallet and KYC.
  • Further simplify the registration process, allowing users to log in directly without needing to register with email.
  • Use a budget of 10 million GTOs in the development of our wallet user program in Q2.

- Develop 100,000 wallets by the end of April

- Develop 500,000 wallets by the end of May

- Develop 1,000,000 wallets by the end of June

  • Launch following version of wallet at the end of May
  • Upgrade the hybrid private-public chain architecture of the wallet at the end of May to meet a potential increase in trading volume in June.
  • Link our wallet with exchanges, including kyber and our exchange partners, by June. This will allow users to obtain GTO directly from the exchanges.

Once we have fully developed the GIFTO wallet, we will proceed to add GTO application scenarios.

Uplive App

  • Use GTO to purchase exclusive GTO gifts for broadcasters during live streams
  • Broadcasters can receive GTO and transfer them into their own wallet
  • Significant back-end customization support from the Uplive system. Again, this is one of the first times blockchain features have been placed into a massive commercial system. Hence, the development and testing will require some time, but the current target is June.

Universal Gifting Platform

After our Web-based universal gifting platform was tested with selected Youtube influencers and broadcasters, we will continue to optimize on the user experience.

  • Better core flow of gifting experience, especially around influencer feedback
  • More customization/pricing setting features for influencers
  • Allow influencers to upload new customized gifts, and begin developing a new tool to allow freelance designers and artists to create new gifts. We will expand usage by working more with Youtube influencers, broadcasters, and celebrities in June.

Social Virtual Gifting

  • Everyone knows that we have made virtual gift greeting cards on Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Although not many people have used it, we have gained valuable experiences in the whole process, from creation to testing.
  • Why have we been testing greeting cards since December? We feel that exchanging gifts between family and friends is the most natural thing to do. We want to share the experience of gifting through the use of blockchain technology, allowing anyone to be able to send virtual gifts to their loved ones at their own convenience.
  • While this will require more time and development, we believe that this is a massive use case that will increase both the adoption rate and total number of virtual gifting transactions.
  • The first version of social virtual gifting will be tested in the Uplive wallet and is expected to launch in May. From there, more testing will be done to polish the gifting process. We hope to be able to promote this extensively through more special occasions and events.

Games

  • The first blockchain game produced by our internal game studio will begin testing in May. GTO will be used for the first time in the game. After the testing is successful, we will have more games coming up that will further expand on GTO use cases.

We look forward to seeing you guys next week!

GIFTO Korea

1) Korea should ease rules on ICOs’

Andy Tian, Co-founder and CEO of Asia Innovations Group said that Korea’s ban on initial coin offerings (ICOs) needs to be eased or reversed in the coming months given the growing importance of blockchain technology, a system for secure and distributed database of transactions. The group has GIFTO as its flagship product. GIFTO was the fastest-selling ICO in Asia. It is add-on to the virtual gift-giving mechanism Uplive. Launched in 2016, Uplive is a live streaming service allowing users to broadcast or watch real-time videos on their smartphones.
