Workona allows tab-switching and sharing of URL ‘resources’ with teams

Normally I might not write a post about a Chrome tab management extension, even one that is quite clever. However, Workona goes a bit further because it not only allows a user to manage individual tabs but also to share tabs and their underlying URLs with other individuals or named teams.

After installation, you can create named workspaces and either drag existing tabs onto them, or open new tabs while ‘in’ a workspace. The plugin involves a menubar button (in the circle on the screenshot below), which opens a special tab in the browser, showing existing workspaces:

Above, I’ve selected the journal workspace, which only shows two tabs, and no resources (which are URLs saved, but not necessarily open at the present).
