The discovery of the internet has changed the face of the music industry. Unlike earlier days, the industry today faces a lot of challenges in different areas leaving a firm either devastated or fortunate enough to keep moving ahead.

Record labels dominate a wide area of the market in the present day and none can deny the fact that it directly or indirectly plays an important role in various sectors.

Now, what is a record label? A record label is a brand that involves in the marketing of music videos and recordings. Also known as record company, its primary focus is to produce, manage, publish, distribute and promote the recordings under the copyright of the brand.

There are several people involved under one record label in various levels who have certain responsibilities distributed based on their experience. To add a little history to this, the “record label” was derived from the circular label present in the center of a vinyl record which includes the name of the manufacturer and other significant details.

No wonder, storing files that date decades back is a tough job. And this is one challenge faced by every record company. Properly organizing files is the foremost responsibility because if not done, it can cause the firm serious loss in situations when a client demands for one or the company itself requires certain details. 2. Documents:

Many a times, there arise instances when an original document is left unattended. This leads to major crisis such as development of fake copies, changes in the original papers and many more.

3. Loss of Records:

Apart from irresponsibly storing records, losing them can cause enormous hassle. Imagine, records that were recorded several years back and are now nowhere to be found, what can the consequences for the same be? Many a times, this brings crisis as a legal matter leading the company to lose shares in the market, invite a lawsuit or more and also cost a huge amount of money.
