Meal and Food Delivery:

Gopuff, an Instant Commerce company, announced a multi-year partnership with seven-time World Champion Tom Brady, who is also an investor in the company. Brady will collaborate on product development, content creation, and other initiatives to enhance brand awareness and customer experiences. This partnership aligns with Gopuff’s national brand campaign aimed at strategic growth and defining a new chapter for the company. This is Gopuff’s largest partnership to date, aiming to expand its audience and drive innovation for customers nationwide.

Amazon aims to become a major player in food delivery by expanding its partnership with Grubhub. Amazon Prime members, who pay $139 annually, will receive a free Grubhub+ subscription, typically $120 per year. This subscription offers free delivery on orders over $12 and other benefits. Customers can order from numerous restaurants nationwide without needing to download or switch to the Grubhub app.

Shipt, the delivery service for Target, CVS, Walgreens, Meijer, and other grocers, has announced summer deals and platform enhancements. From June 27 to July 4, Shipt’s annual membership will be discounted from $99 to $49. Additional deals include 20% off orders of $50 or more at CVS and Walgreens from June 17 to June 22, and $20 off orders of $100+ at various grocers for Target Circle 360 members from June 23 to June 29. Shipt also introduced new tools: Lists, allowing personalized bulk additions to carts, and Auto-Add to Cart, enabling automatic recurring additions with reminders.

Shipt is also enhancing convenience by introducing features like “Lists” for bulk item addition and “Auto-Add to Cart” for automatically recurring essential items. These features come with reminders via email and push notifications. Shipt is also promoting its membership program, which offers fee-free delivery on orders over $35. From June 27 to July 4, the membership fee is reduced from $99 to $49 annually. Additionally, Target Circle 360 members can get $20 off grocery orders of $100 or more from various grocery chains from June 23 to June 29.

Instacart has expanded its partnership with Sally Beauty Supply to offer same-day delivery of hair, skin, and nail care products from all 2,200+ locations nationwide. This follows a successful limited test earlier this year. This expansion is Instacart’s second non-grocery partnership announced recently, following the launch of same-day delivery from Home Depot stores across the U.S.

Uber Technologies has partnered with Save A Lot, a major discount grocer in the U.S., to make selected Save A Lot stores available on the Uber Eats app. This collaboration allows over 150 of Save A Lot’s independently owned locations to offer delivery through Uber Eats. Additionally, shoppers can use their Health Benefit cards on Uber Eats to buy groceries and over-the-counter drugs, enhancing convenience for eligible individuals using their healthcare benefits.

Sally Beauty has expanded its same-day delivery services through a nationwide partnership with Instacart, covering over 2,200 locations. Customers can order more than 7,000 beauty products, including hair care, hair color, and skin and nail items, for same-day delivery. This expansion follows a successful pilot earlier this year.

Logistics, Travel, etc:

Kuehne+Nagel, a global logistics company, announced the establishment of a new logistics platform in Piscataway, New Jersey, for the French fashion brand Sézane. This new operation will enhance service for Sézane’s customers by enabling faster returns and inventory management. Founded in Paris in 2013, Sézane has rapidly grown through e-commerce, and with Kuehne+Nagel’s support in the U.S., it aims to expand its market share further.

Etihad Cargo has established a direct eBooking integration with Kuehne+Nagel, enhancing its digitalization efforts. This collaboration streamlines the booking process for partners and customers, adding to Etihad Cargo’s existing eBooking integrations with cargo.one, WebCargo, CargoWise, and CargoAI. The integration provides Kuehne+Nagel with real-time access to capacity and pricing across Etihad Cargo’s network, improving transparency, efficiency, and flexibility for faster and more reliable cargo services.
