Advanced Search — Developer Log #10 — Giig Hire — 20th April

Four new features to shout about with this update. The biggest being the significant changes we have made to the advanced search feature where you can now search across candidates, contact, companies and jobs.

This update also includes a large number of smaller additions and features that pushes the platform a huge step forward.

New Features

• Job Quick Match — With a click of a button, instantly get a list of candidates from your database that could be a potential match for your job.
• Pipeline values added to interview pipeline — Each applicant that goes through the process is now automatically calculated a potential recruitment fee should they get hired. This fee is based on the inputted agreed fee against the company and can also be updated manually. Each column of the pipeline view is calculated with a subtotal and a complete overall total is calculated.
• Tag Contacts and Companies — Just like with candidates, you can now add custom tags to a contact and a company. Allowing for more refined and accurate advanced searches.
• Advanced Search update — The advanced search feature now extends across all areas of your Giig account. Use advanced search to filter jobs, contact and companies down by keyword, tag, and location.

New Addition

• Candidates Can Upload Word Doc CVs — previously restricted to just PDFs. Word document CVs can now be uploaded when candidates apply through your careers site.
• Added “Submitted On” Field To All Applicant Tables — All applicant tables now include the submitted on date and allows you to order the table by this field in ascending or descending order.
• Added “Added On” Field To Candidate Database — The candidate database now includes an added on date and the table can now be ordered by this field in ascending or descending order.
• New Upgrade Screen With Prorata Fees — When you upgrade your package or update the number of seats on your account, you are now presented with an information popup telling you about the changes in your subscription and any prorata fees.
• New Information Screens Added To Starter/Plus Features Across The Platform — Ever come across a premium feature but had no idea what it was? Hopefully we’ve solved this dilemma with the introduction of information screens.
• Password Criteria — Passwords now require 9 characters minimum, with a special character before registering or changing a password.
• Branded Website Favicon — For Starter and Plus subscribers the website favicon now updates to the companies logo instead of the Giig logo.
• Addition of NOK Currency
• Security Additions — a host of new session security and account security features have been added.
• When creating a job, the dropdown to select a company is now a searchable select menu.

Bug Fixes

• Share Job on LinkedIn
• One file being parsed on mass cv parse no longer breaks it.
• Fixed an issue where job responsibilities was duplicating empty entries on job creation.
• Fixed an issue where a “+” special character will break the advanced search.
• Fixed an issue with Mass CV parser timeing out before completing the upload of all files.
