This month introduces a huge number of improvements and additions to the Giig Hire platform. We continue to work tirelessly to improve our product to help freelance recruiters to run their entire business from one place.

This month's update takes us a step closer to the end goal of providing the best platform for freelance recruiters on the internet. Our big show-stopping feature for this month is Talent Pools; a new way to group candidates together.

See the full breakdown of this push below.

New Features

  • Talent Pools —Group your candidates together in talent pools based on the criteria you set. They could be grouped based on skills, location, or current role title. The possibilities are endless. New candidates added to your database will automatically be added to the talent pool if they meet the criteria and from within a Talent Pool you can make use of the mass email function or manage applicants through hiring processes.
  • Shortlisting — Before a candidate is ready to be sent to a job, they are just floating in your database therefore we have added a shortlist feature. Shortlisting a candidate allows you to associate the candidate with a job before they are ready to send.
  • Giig Starter — Introducing a new, lower-tier subscription package. Giig Starter gives you more than our free tier including, connecting a custom domain to your website and AI credits, whilst also giving you limited access to Giig Plus features
  • Website Starter Template — Last push we developed a more advanced website builder and with this push we have integrated a new starting template. The template is designed to help kickstart the website. Highlighting some of the new features and giving a good-looking website to those users who are short on time.
  • New CV Parser — Our CV parser has sat in BETA form for about a year. Over that time it saw a lot of minor improvement but this push gives us a huge leap forward in its capabilities, including; improved skills collection, and improved job title collection. But also this CV parser introduces new functions like pulling out the candidate's experience, education, and certificates from their CV.
  • Parse A CV From Inside a Candidate Card — Along with the new CV parser, you can now parse a CV from within a candidate card. Especially handy if you update the candidate's CV or if you'd previously been out of credits to parse the CV when you created the candidate.

New Additions

  • Parse Word Documents — Along with the new CV parser you can now parse word documents through the Parser.
  • Talent Pools Universal Create Link - We’ve added the ability to add talent pools directly in to the universal create button.
  • Mass Add, Mass Remove — All candidate tables now have the option to mass-select candidates and add them straight to a talent pool.
  • Remove Branding From Website Button — The website builder now includes a remove branding button on the website editor so users are clear on the steps required to remove branding.
  • Stats on Talent Pools — We’ve added simple stats to the talent pools which allow users to see the most popular skills, the number of candidates in each part of the recruitment process, and a number representation of how many candidates were added in the last day, week, month and year.
  • Search By Shortlisted Job — Candidates that have been shortlisted can be searched by using the top search bar
  • Pretty Critera String — We have converted the criteria for the Talent Pool in to a descriptive paragraph.
  • Change In Usage Limits — We have updated the usage limits across all subscription packages.
  • New Onboarding Offer — We have updated the offer we give on initial onboarding to better represent the new level of packages we have to offer.
  • New Upgrade Plans — We have updated the plans view within the platform so now you can see all available plans and what each offers from one view.
  • Candidate Source Field — We have added a source field in to the candidate card which allows users to input the source of referring location the candidate was found. I.E LinkedIn/Cold Email
  • ZAR Currency Added — New currency added for our users in South Africa.

  • Display Candidate Summary — A new display for the candidate summary is now visible in the candidate card
  • Display Candidate Education — A new display for the candidate education is now visible in the candidate card
  • New Website Creation Process — We have updated the website creation process so that users get the opportunity to see a demo website showcasing all the features the builder offers before going off and creating their own.
  • Add To Talent Pool From Candidate Creation — On the candidate creation form there is now an option to add that person straight to a talent pool.
  • Talent Pool and Shortlist Buttons Added To Candidate Card — Inside a candidate card we have added quick buttons to add this candidate to a talent pool or to shortlist them for a job.
  • Update Expressed Interest Status To Shortlisted — Just a simple updated label, which better represents what the status is.
  • Renaming Database Pipeline — Just a simple name change for the database pipeline to ATS Pipeline which better represents what the pipeline does.

Bug Fixes
