Boyce Thompson Arboretum

After reading a list of events occurring at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum one grabbed our attention more so than the others. The event was a walking tour titled Edible — Medicinal Desert Plants and was lead by tour guide Dave Morris, an Ethnobotanist and member of the Choctaw Nation. The wife and I decided to attend and were very glad we did. The tour was fascinating and while it was cut short due to inclement weather we did learn a lot. We highly recommend if you ever visit the arboretum to schedule a date when Dave will be there. His knowledge of the topic is as impressive as his mastery of humor and puns. An interesting topic to be sure and I’ll be posting further resources as I acquire information. Here are a few pics we captured on our visit. Enjoy!
