New offices for the entire team
For a year, we’ve been in coworking spaces. We grew and took more space until we felt the need to find our home. In Q3 2018, we had the opportunity to relocate our offices both in Malta and in Paris. The Maltese office is now at the epicenter of Malta in St Julian’s and the French office is located at the heart of Paris near Pigalle quarter
Gimli to Gimbl
As you’ve noticed, Gimli became Gimbl.gg. As we got closer to the product launch, we felt the need to have a brand identity more in-line with the Gaming & eSports industry. Through multiple working sessions with marketing specialists and eSports influencers, we designed carefully the new name, Gimbl to reach a much more gaming and gamer audience. Gimbl is thought to be used as a word in many ways such as:
- Let’s Gimbl (Let’s play)
- I Gimbl you (I challenge you)
- To Gimbl (to Bet/Gamble)
We thank you for the overwhelming support since we initiated the change.
The blockchain island continues on implementing regulation for blockchain and crypto businesses. The MGA’s CEO, Heathcliff Farrugia lately said: “The MGA’s strategic mission is to be at the forefront of gaming regulation whilst embracing innovation”. We have carefully studied the new sandbox (click here), that lead us to create a number of task for the team. We had to review and adapt some of our license documentation according to the sandbox. Most importantly, our lead developer worked according to the guidelines to have the application’s flows compliant with what’s required. We are working closely with the MGA to make sure we will receive the license as soon as possible.
All an all we had an incredible year. In the next weeks and months, we will start to unveil more news related to the status of the product. Thank you all for your support and stay with us! 2019 will be our year!
