The list features five visual artists from across the globe who are creating innovative and inspiring work that is uniquely their own. Zhong Xian
Zhong Xian(b.1993) is an animation director/ animator based in Taipei, Taiwan. Her animations are drawn on paper with crayons, acrylic paints and color pencils. Using simple materials, she creates a poetic world with a wild, naive and surreal style. Her films have screened at numerous international festivals including Annecy, Ottawa, New Chitose, Animest and others. Her favorite color is green and her childhood dream was to be a comedian.

Infinite Livez
Infinite Livez is a UK born MC and artist currently based in Berlin. His animations and graphics are influenced by Surrealism, Futurism and artists such as Rammellzee and Max Ernst. Visually he produces prints, artist books and animations. Musically he creates Hip Hop that is highly experimental and cutting edge. His most recent project is Scapes ,an experimental animated music video that grapples with the idea of Afro Futurist landscapes, Scapes. He also has lots of merch on offer over on his bandcamp page.

Francisco Negrello
According to Francisco, he is “an animator and illustrator from Buenos Aires, living in a trashy and cute 2D world inhabited by punk rats, dirt goblins, melancholic ghouls and dumb wizards. Something of a Ghost expert, full time beer drinker and proud dad of a smelly dog.”

Ari Farley
Ari describes herself as “a hand-lettering artist and illustrator based in Tennessee. As an appreciator of all things unique and hand-made, I believe design should be fun, interactive, and engaging. I am endlessly inspired by nature, color, food, and a deep love for 00’s and 90’s nostalgia. When I’m not creating, I’m obsessing over my strawberry plants, soaking up whatever sun is possible with my cat and two dogs, listening to music and/or binge watching a show I’ve already seen. As an ENFP, Sagittarius, Youngest Child, I dream to create. Let’s make something fun!”

Leah Putnam
In Leah’s words: “Leah Putnam is a British-Chinese animator and illustrator based in London. She is a graduate of UAL with a degree in (BA) Illustration and Visual Media. Her practice involves hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation, utilizing both traditional and digital mediums. Leah’s work often explores nostalgia, childhood and the human consciousness. She loves visual storytelling and world-building — and does so by creating whimsical and fluid dreamscapes.”
