We all know that emotions run high during March Madness, and this year’s list of most-viewed March Madness GIFs reflects the highs and lows of this year’s tournaments.
For starters, the FDU Knights staged an upset early in the tournament, defeating Purdue 63–58 and making history as the second №16 seed to defeat a №1 seed. This GIF of FDU guard Joe Munden Jr. was the third most-viewed GIF of the tournament with 42.5 million views.
The San Diego State Aztecs also made March Madness history this year, becoming the first Mountain West program to reach the Final Four. This GIF of SDSU coach Brian Dutcher doing a trust fall after cutting the net was the second most-viewed GIF of the tournament with 45.9 million views.
SDSU’s Adam Seiko was spotted shell-shocked after the Aztecs advanced to the championship. This GIF of Seiko was the most-viewed GIF of the tournament with 67.4 million views.
