On a scale from one to T. Swift at the VMAs, how much fun do you plan on having this weekend?
The MTV Video Music Awards made a show-stopping return Tuesday night with Nicki Minaj at the helm as “emcee” (IYKYK). Like years past, this year’s VMA ceremony featured plenty of moments worthy of the zeitgeist, from Shakira’s high-wire, knife-wielding medley, to a reunion performance by Megan thee Stallion and Cardi B, to Stray Kids’ VMA debut.

Most-Viewed GIFs: Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Ice Spice
For the second year in a row, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj dominated our list of the most-viewed GIFs from the VMAs, occupying several spots in the top 10 most-viewed GIFs.
For starters, this GIF of Swift reacting to *NSYNC’s surprise VMA appearance was the ninth most-viewed GIF of the night with 5.5 million views as of Thursday.
Swift was also spotted cheering on Selena Gomez after her “Best Afrobeats” VMA win with Rema. This GIF of Swift cheering on Gomez during her acceptance speech was the third most-viewed GIF of the night with 32.4 million views.
And, of course, we can’t talk about this year’s VMAs without talking about Minaj, who sang, rapped and emceed her way through the 2023 VMAs ceremony and nabbed the most spots on our list of the top 10 most-viewed GIFs from the 2023 VMAs.
This GIF of Minaj getting up to accept the “Best Hip Hop” award for “Super Freaky Girl” was the fifth most-viewed GIF of the night with 17.9 million views.
This GIF from Minaj’s acceptance speech for the award also made an impression, ranking in as the fourth most-viewed GIF of the night with 19.8 million views.
Last but not least, this GIF of Minaj’s sign-off for the night was the most-viewed GIF of the night with 87.4 million views.
That’s not all: VMA newcomer Ice Spice also made an impression at this year’s VMAs. This GIF of her accepting her “Best New Artist” award was the second most-viewed GIF of the night with 65.6 million views.
