People of the internet, rejoice: awards season is back!

The 2024 Golden Globes ushered in awards season Sunday with a ceremony celebrating the best of film and television. From Lily Gladstone’s historic win to this tender moment between Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, this year’s Golden Globes ceremony captured the zeitgeist with several iconic, GIFable moments—moments that GIPHY captured live on the official Golden Globes GIPHY channel.

Need a recap of the whirlwind that was the 2024 Golden Globes? Make haste like Emma Stone, here’s a look at the top GIFs and Clips from this year’s Golden Globes ceremony.

Lily Gladstone Makes History

“Killers of the Flower Moon” star Lily Gladstone made Golden Globes history this year, becoming the first Indigenous person to win best actress in a motion picture drama.

Gladstone opened their acceptance speech speaking the Blackfeet language, which, per People, is an “Algonquian language spoken by the Blackfoot or Niitsitapi people.” Gladstone is of Blackfeet and Nimiipuu descent, and grew up on the Blackfeet Nation reservation in Montana.

Gladstone’s historic win resonated with many, including our users: two GIFs of Gladstone accepting the award made it into the top five most-viewed GIFs of the night.

This GIF from Gladstone’s acceptance speech was the fourth most-viewed GIF of the night with 7.5 million views, as of Tuesday.

This GIF of a speechless Gladstone moments after receiving the Golden Globe was the most-viewed GIF of the night with 12.9 million views.

What did Gladstone say in Blackfeet at the Golden Globes? Here’s the translation her representative gave to CBS News:

“Hello my friends, my name is Eagle Woman, I’m from the Blackfeet Nation.”

Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig Return

Remember 2013’s “You get out of here!”? Well, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig delivered another hilarious Golden Globes bit this year as they danced to “Fluffing a Duck” while presenting the award for best actor in a comedy or musical.

The duo’s bit had the crowd in stitches: “All of Us Strangers” star Andrew Scott was spotted in the crowd dancing along to Ferrell and Wiig.

Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were also spotted enjoying the duo’s return to the Golden Globes stage.

Ferrell and Wiig also made waves on GIPHY: GIFs of the duo’s bit nabbed three spots on our list of the top 10 most-viewed GIFs of the night. Here’s a rundown of where the pair fell on our top 10 list.
