From cast reunions of iconic properties such as “The Devil Wears Prada” and “The Lord of the Rings,” to Lily Gladstone’s historic win for Best Lead Actress, this year’s SAG Awards ceremony was a true celebration of Hollywood, both past and present.

Feeling a little bit of FOMO? Gird your loins, here’s a look at the top GIFs and Clips from the 2024 SAG Awards, all of which can be found on the official SAG Awards GIPHY channel.

The 2024 SAG Awards ceremony was a true celebration of the industry’s rich history, and this year’s list of the most-viewed GIFs highlights the enduring power of Hollywood legends.

For starters, Best Leading Actress presenter Jessica Chastain shouted out Jodie Foster during her opening speech, noting that Foster won the award during the first-ever SAG Awards ceremony in 1995.

This GIF of Foster acknowledging Chastain’s comment was the third most-viewed GIF of the night.

The cast and crew of “Oppenheimer” swept this year’s SAG Awards, winning Best Supporting Actor, Best Lead Actor, and Best Ensemble in a Motion Picture.

All the Best Acceptance Speeches, in Clips

Awards season is all about acceptance speeches, and this year’s SAG Awards ceremony was the stage for several all-timer speeches.

For starters, “The Bear” star Ayo Edebiri continued her awards season streak on Saturday, winning the SAG Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Edebiri opened her acceptance speech in classic fashion, attempting to recite a James Baldwin quote she had heard “the other day.”

Here’s what Edebiri said:

I’m going to butcher, just really bastardize a James Baldwin quote because I heard it the other day, but, ‘The act of love is just really an act of mirroring.’ And I think anything that anybody sees in me that’s worth anything is because of the people who love me and support me and it made me who I am.”

“The Last of Us” star Pedro Pascal also made headlines on Saturday, not just for his Best Actor in a Drama win, but also for his joyous acceptance speech.

“This is wrong for a number of reasons: I’m a little drunk, I thought I could get drunk and thank you HBO.”

Pascal used his acceptance speech to shout out SAG-AFTRA, which he’s been a member of for 25 years. Here’s what he told the crowd on Saturday:

“I’ve been in the union since 1999, so this is an incredible […] honor.”

Industry legend Barbra Streisand received a SAG Lifetime Achievement Award for her “outstanding achievement in fostering the finest ideals of the acting profession.”

Streisand accepted the award with an emotional speech recounting her upbringing in Brooklyn and her decades in the industry.

“I wanted to be in the movies, even though I knew I didn’t look like any of the other women on the screen. My mother said, ‘You better learn to type,’ but I didn’t listen. And somehow, someway — thank you, God — it all came true.”

Streisand also recalled the Jewish pioneers who built the film industry, noting the prejudice they faced both in the United States and abroad.

“They were all fleeing the prejudice they faced in eastern Europe, simply because of their religion. And they were dreamers to like all of us here tonight. And now I dream of a world where such prejudice is a thing of the past.”

And finally, “Killers of the Flower Moon” star Lily Gladstone made history this year as the first Indigenous person to win Best Lead Actress at the SAG Awards.

Gladstone accepted their award with a powerful speech emphasizing the power of film to “bring empathy into a world that so much needs it.”

“It’s so easy to distance ourselves. It’s so easy to close off, to stop feeling, and we all bravely keep feeling and that humanizes people, that brings people out of the shadows. It brings visibility. […] Keep speaking your truths and keep speaking up for each other.”
