I’ve always been the girl that rips off the band-aid.

After picking at it, destroying it, and keeping it from doing the purpose it was intended for, I would peel it off, exposing the wound, much sooner than needed. Blood would ooze from the cut or scratch, thick crimson droplets falling to the ground.
