2017 comes to an end and we have had good start with brilliant works in 2018. As we had completed the year 2017 with high expectations of our product, we wanted to receive some feedback from the people who are the users of tomorrow. And therefore we would love to showcase our work to the world to get a sense of direction and motivation.

Lets count down our works done by our different teams :

Bird eye view: Since we are using a normal Camera, bird eye view might be help us in better lane detection. And the results have been extremely impressive. We further plan to use it for various other applications in future. We have come across various applications of it by companies like Toyota. Using just 4 cameras they were able to generate 360 HD view around the car. Moreover, a drone company Skydio has released autonomous drone using 13 cameras but they have not mentioned about the Bird eye view. We believe using bird eye view number of camera can be reduced. You must be getting the idea where we are actually planning to use Bird Eye View. :)

Road lane detection using Ego-Lane Analysis System (ELAS): We have been doing research for all kinds of available road lane detection models and finally satellited with ELAS due to its extreme light weight model is in C++ which can run real-time on CPU.

Segmentation using ICNet: We have been doing research about the available segmentation model and found ICNet to be the best for use. ICNet with significant accuracy can work on a real time basis. The primary reason to use ICNet is to improve accuracy in object detection.

Why are we using ICnet (Ours) ?

Object detection: We have been trying to improve the accuracy.

Work with real sense for Sleeping warning and Eye tracking.

Clone behavior with one camera.

Protocols such as CAN and Flexray etc.

Along with above we have been working on possible designs of our kit, Embedded Systems, some full-time hiring, few initiatives, B2B connect and cool marketing strategies (We have designed some crazy marketing plans :).

As our effort of showcasing our work and taking feedback from the community, in a span of 30 days we put forward our work and prototype in three different and mega events :

  1. Tie Bangalore Deep tech product showcase.

A good place to showcase our work in front of some angel investors and active community from Indian startup ecosystem. That was our first product showcase. where we got some mix responses from the audience.

#HolyCow was the reaction of this event.

2. EO Care Startup Night (We stand as top 12 startup of cohort 2017–18).

We were thinking of writing a separate email about EC Care where we would portray small glimpses of Giscle Updates. Thanks to Arnab, who approached us for the EO Care 2017–28 Cohort. All the mentoring session, workshops were worth attending. Since we stood among the top 12 startups, we got a chance to show our work at Startup Night. It turned out extremely useful because we not only received amazing responses but a chance to meet the stunning heroes like Chandni Jafri, CEO Mumbai Angels, Karthik Reddy, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Blume Ventures, G V Ravishankar, Managing Director, Sequoia Capital etc. People enjoyed watching our exciting prototype at our stall.

Team Giscle would like to thank EO Care Team specially Pritty and Siddharth for the opportunity as it was a good learning and a big motivation for our effort. We look forward to EO Care support in all our future endeavor.

Highlight: G V Ravishankar visited our stall and asked some nice questions that small 3 or 4 minutes talk was something else :).

3. Startup Open House.

This was our last product showcase of Fab. With every day passing, we learnt a lot and tried our best to improve to the maximum extent we could. Our first two showcases helped us here to present better than last two showcases. We had live demos of Driver Sleeping warning and distraction warning. The responses seemed brilliant.

Out of 110 attendees, 96% agreed the demo gave them a good idea about the product (We will try to improve next time so the number could be 99%), 97% believed that as an individual they could use this system and close to 94% believed the product to be scalable.

Thank You!! ❤ ❤

Highlight: Come on Investor! Invest, Invest [A request to investor for Giscle by one of Startup open house attendee]

Bangalore Startup Open House

The number of attendees was close to 100 for all three and we were quite happy that people appreciated our effort in saving thousands of lives and billions of dollars every year. We got some amazing responses, feedback, suggestions etc.. Thank You so much for your support!

Thank You for all the support ❤ ❤ ❤
