Today we have released Giscle’s very first product “OfferCam.” OfferCam is a crowd source mapping app and is open for everyone to help in build a city map with real time data to make our cities traffic free.

Well, why a crowd source mapping app is necessary?

Giscle relation with maps is very old, thanks to Maptags our founder previous startup. Very interestingly, we at Giscle also started with the map only. But building a map alone was not a long sustainable measure for us, because it needs millions of investment. So, after initial setup, we changed our plan to create something by which we could involve everyone. Some initial research helped us to figure out OfferCam. So today, we released an initial version, more like a beta version.

How OfferCam works?

It’s an Android App so if you are an Android user, you can follow these steps.

  1. Go to Google Play and install the OfferCam
  2. Open the OfferCam and fit the OfferCam with your car mount, so you can drive your car with OfferCam video output.
  3. After recording, upload the video using upload button.
OfferCam UI

What do you need ?

  1. Android Phone
  2. Car mount (which can be purchased online/offline)

Why we collect the data ?

  1. We analyze the data which you upload to look for key information such as potholes, fallen signs, changing road condition etc.
  2. We also update the right authorities with this information, so the entire action time can be reduced.

What’s in it for you ?

  1. With every upload of the video, the user gets points and later on, it can be converted to money.
  2. The user can use those points for buying various coupons, available in OfferCam store.
  3. OfferCam can keep track record of all your journey in trip history so you can analyse your travel better.

PS: Currently few features are not working which will be fixed with coming updates.
