Here are my reasons for loving this user-friendly Git interface.

I want to begin this git happy story with a little animal called a mapache šŸ¦, or as you might know it, a raccoon. Agile and adaptable, mapaches are renowned for their problem-solving capabilities and for loving snacks. Just like a mapache who finds clever ways to infiltrate a secure trash can, we developers love to navigate intricate systems and solve complex problems.

So, why do I compare a mapache with the GitHub Desktop GUI? Because itā€™s nimble, adaptive, and makes solving ā€˜coding problemsā€™ a breeze. Best of all, even if you switch, your coworkers can keep using command line git!

No More Fear of the Git Terminal!

Iā€™ve never been a command-line purist. Sure, I love my modern Oh My Zsh! terminal on my work computer, and Iā€™ve been coding in SSH tunnels from the command line since the late 90ā€™s (shout out emacs ā€” I never liked vim).
