We are now in Beta and we are hammering it!

The biggest challenge to launching a product, after building this thing in a closet for months, is that taking our baby into the market and asking the world to tell us if they are cute is intimidating… and challenging.

I think anyone who has launched a product or service understands that choosing the moment to jump is the struggle left to the jumper. Reid Hoffman famously said that “if you’re not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you’ve launched too late.” Possibly.

It might be a bit overused nowadays (possibly leading to gap-filled products flooding the markets). But there just might be something there.

Too many product builders are so wedded to their “great idea” that they won’t allow the world to challenge their thinking. We at GitBetter were there for awhile.

Now we have jumped. We want the world to see what we are thinking, to challenge where we think GitBetter needs to go. But we need you users to get in there. To dig around. Help us evolve. Provide your feedback, your experience, your advice.

Who really understands what you do? Think about what your day as a developer looks like.

Now, imagine letting your code represent you with easy-to-interpret visualizations (we call them optics).

Imagine a world of products, not projects. A world without talks and spreadsheets, resumes and profiles. Just the code. The truth.

We ask that you take a look. Poke around GitBetter. Sign up for the Beta. Look at the product and let us know what you think. We are building this for you developers so that you can be the masters of your own destiny. Let us know if we are on the right path.
