Our mission at GitBook is to help teams share their knowledge, their ideas (and their happiness) with their colleagues, customers or partners.

Sharing content privately was not always easy

GitBook showcases many public docs but also help teams of all sizes share knowledge inside their companies or with their partner and customers.

Until now, the best way to share a private doc on GitBook was to invite someone as a team member. It was not always suitable when sharing with customers or several partners.

Introducing GitBook’s private sharing link

With shareable links, you can now generate a secret link allowing non team members to access your private content.

This link can be revoked at any time, and people will no longer be able to access your content using it. It gives you proper control over your content’s accessibility.

For more details, you can always check out our documentation. As always, feel free to ping us at support@gitbook.com if you have any feedback. 👋
