About This Release
This release includes some quality of life updates for admins as well as some bug fixes.
Administrator Features
- Send Event Link via SMS. A new option is available in the Event Administrators menu! Choose “Send Event Link” to text any cell number a link to your event.
- SMS by Verbal Consent. GiveGrove recently rolled out changes to ensure we have obtained explicit user consent before sending text messages. This newest update ensures that you may send texts to in-person event attendees by means of verbal consent, even if they have not yet logged in and verified their overall consent.
- Better Feedback when Linking Bank Accounts. Before this update, providing invalid information (such as PO Box instead of a street address) when linking a bank account resulted in a generic error message. Now, you’ll get clear feedback that lets you speed through setup and get to launching your GiveGrove website!
- Enhanced functionality for texting ticket holders. Event admins using the SMS option to text ticket holders will now find each recipient’s cell phone address pre-populated. Quicker and easier, which is everything we want at check-in.
Bug Fixes
- Sort Silent Auctions by Winning Amount. Have you ever tried to sort your silent auction items by winning amount and thought “something’s not right here?” So did we, and we fixed it!
- Toggling buy-out price. If you’ve ever enabled a buy-out price on an auction item and then thought better of it, you may have found that the buy-out price didn’t disappear. Now, no matter how many times you change your mind, it’ll work as expected.
- Fixed Misspellings. The thing about programming tools is that they check for invalid code, not spelling mistakes. We fixed a few oopsies we hope no one saw.
