Click here to turn your ideas into realities and make sure you follow these simple steps to make the most successful fundraising campaign ever

Decide How
Based on the size and type of your campaign you must choose a model. Whether you want to take your campaign online or are you the old school door-to-door campaigner type, while it doesn’t hurt to engage in more than one field at once, it is certainly taxing and time consuming and requires more planning to use several media at once. However, depending upon the size of your campaign it may or may not be as hard to achieve.

In today’s fast paced world, taking any campaign online is not only recommended but almost necessary. Click here to start a free fundraising campaign on GIVE.asia right now.

Set a goal
You and your friends/family are well meaning and want to raise funds for the needy in Africa, or the millions displaced by hurricanes and tornadoes and other natural calamities or the human trafficking victims across the globe or another needy segment of the society. Now you need to use this concern and empathy to generate real life funds for those you want to help.

Clearly state a goal for yourself and others who participate in your efforts as donors, volunteers, or supporters so they know how influential their donation will be. Knowing how much you need to raise will have a huge impact on how much they decide to donate. Don’t set the bar too high, keep your expectations realistic and be truthful about how much you need to raise. Your goal doesn’t have to be huge. A $500 or $1000 goal is often as necessary as a million dollar goal. Remember: every dollar counts.

Time goals are important too. Campaigns that run for too long lose appeal. State a time limit for donation so that people feel an urgency to donate.

Clearly Explain Why
State your beneficiaries clearly and at the start of your campaign. People are motivated by knowing who and how they are going to help. Something like “Donate to help the sex-slaves in Thailand” is more impactful and informative than “Donate to help the needy in Thailand”. Better still is “Donate to release 20 women from sex-trade in Thailand” And even better: “Donate to release Martha from sex-trade in Thailand”. Donors are bound to donate more if they feel a sense of connection to the cause.

Set up a Team
Once you have your goals, expectations and aspirations in sight you can now set up a team to help you reach your goal. Whether you are a one person army or a multi-person team, working towards a common goal is your ally.

If you are working singularly, you will need to divide your time and attention so that you can optimize your efforts to reach your goals. If you have a few others to help you in your quest, find out what they are best at and set them to task. If someone is a social media whizz, get them promoting your campaign online. If someone is a social butterfly, get them to tell everyone they know about your fundraising campaign.

Assign Duties
Once a team is in place, you can start to assign more specific duties such as responsibilities to take photos or make a video or design collateral. Everything helps! Once again use people’s strengths to the campaign’s benefit. If a volunteer is achieving their assigned jobs easily, they are more likely to enjoy volunteering. Remember the payment from this job is satisfaction and it comes on various levels.

Set expectations:

Finally, set up a timeline for everything from the bigger things like when you need the funds by, to the smaller things like when and how often you will update your donors and when you will ask your friends and family to donate. Make sure your goals are measurable and achievable and space them equally leading up to the day of the final launch. Determining what needs to be done by when and by who will help you reach your launch day with ease and comfort.

Final Launch
You made it! You got there! You launched your campaign and that is no easy feat but remember, launching your campaign is just the beginning and it must be with a bang! Everyone must take notice. It should be unmissable. And everything from the words to the photos to the story should be unforgettable. And remember, if you have a team of helpers, make sure to celebrate together! They will appreciate and stay motivated for the rest of the campaign!
