Hello Everyone!

LG on Monday had finally launched its flagship device the LG G6 here in India. It is available exclusively on Amazon for Rs. 51,999 with exciting offers.

G6 offers a 5.7-inch QHD Full Vision Display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, which puts it in direct competition with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung Galaxy S8 boasts of Infinity Display which is similar to Full Vision Display on the LG G6.

Key Specifications:

  • Design: G6 has a premium looking design. It has a thickness of just 7.9mm, which reduces the hassle of using a large-sized phone.
  • Display: It has a 5.7 inch IPS LCD display, which isn’t what we expected from LG. Frankly, we would have liked it if it had a LED display instead of LCD display.
  • Camera: It comes with 13 MP Dual rear camera along with 5 MP front facing camera. While the primary camera should be able to click some great pictures, the secondary camera may not be able to do the same. Moreover, LG could have introduced a better front camera for a device that is priced at Rs. 51,999.
  • Processor: It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Quad Core Processor (2x 2.35 + 2 x 1.6 GHz). Again, the issue is that the processor is not at par with what other devices offer in the same price range.
  • Operating System: It comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
  • ROM + RAM: LG G6 is available in two variants — 32 GB and 64GB internal memory. Both the variants have expandable storage of up to 2TB.
  • SIM: It is available in single as well as dual-SIM. Both the slots on the dual SIM variant support 4G LTE.
  • Battery: It comes with a healthy 3300 mAh battery and should be able to last a day easily.

Other Features:

  • Metal Body with Glass Back
  • Corning Gorilla Glass protection on front and back
  • Rear mounted fingerprint sensor
  • IP68 Water and Dust resistant
  • USB Type-C port with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0
  • Wireless charging capable

Well, the LG G6 could have been a worthy competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S8. But, the sub-par hardware configuration just doesn’t match up to what the S8 offers.

In our view, it isn’t worth the price, had the price been a little less, the device would have been more appealing.

That’s all folks
Thank you.
