Song Picks of the Week

Monday we were celebrating the wedding of one of our best friends. All the best wishes to her and her husband! But we have only six song picks for this week. Sorry.

Like me, you might enjoy some psychedelic tunes on this gorgeous Tuesday morning: how about Kiss the Sun, a super melodic little number with just the right amount of hypnotic touch that makes you listen to it over and over? The vocals faintly remind me of another (famous) Manchester band… Our Song Pick of Monday comes from The Watchmakers, a four piece hailing from Manchester, UK.

Polish duo Coals walks the line between folk and electronic elegantly in the airy track Weightless. More please! Our Song Pick of Wednesday.

We keep it with the cool electronic beats, add female vocals and an overall airy, dreamy touch, and head over to Brighton, in the UK. Creation by True Noir is our Song Pick of Thursday.

Start the weekend with a new dreamy track by Brooklyn’s Dead Leaf Echo, our Song Pick of Friday. Catch them at the Desert Stars Festival in California later this month.

… and then along comes a remix of an already atmospheric song, making it even more forceful, catchy and just perfect for a Saturday night out — party!!! False Alarm by Boxed In got remixed by fellow Brit Ghost Culture and the outcome is stellar.

Here is For BDK, a electronic duo from Stockholm, Sweden, with our Song Pick of Sunday. If you’re in the mood for some Sunday afternoon melancholy their track My Tears is for you. It’s also for you if you like Keep Shelly in Athens.
