The Glasswall InfoSec squad is very excited to announce that Glasswall Solutions Ltd. has achieved the Cyber Essentials Plus certification after having our Networks and Platforms audited by a Crest certified auditor earlier this month. As the InfoSec Squad we are committed to keeping our company’s platforms and systems secure and safe. Our aim is to adapt our tools not only to scan and fix threats but to remediate them and to achieve continuous and automated compliance with all security standard frameworks.

The Cyber Essentials scheme is a cybersecurity standard against which organizations can be assessed and certified. The scheme is based on the ’10 Steps to Cyber Security’ which was formalized by the UK government in 2013.

Cyber Essentials concentrates on five key areas:

• Securing connectivity to the internet through appropriate management of boundary firewalls and internet gateways
• The secure configuration of software and devices used within the business
• Strong access control to data and services
• Suitable processes and mechanisms for protecting against viruses and other malware
• Effective patch management to ensure devices and software are up to date

There is a lot more to come from the InfoSec squad and soon we will be publishing our Company Security policies which will be open to public discussion.
