Breaking News: Glasswing Portfolio Company Retrocausal Secures $3.4 Million in New Funding
We are excited to share that our newest portfolio company Retrocausal has announced $3.4 million in new funding. The round was led by Glasswing Ventures and Differential Ventures with participation from Argon Ventures, Ascend Ventures Vietnam, Hypertherm Ventures, Incubate Fund, SaaS Ventures, and Stage Venture Partners. Retrocausal will use the funding to build its team further and extend its global growth and momentum in a rapidly expanding market.
Retrocausal uses AI and deep learning to analyze tasks performed on a manufacturer’s assembly line in real-time, offering audible and visual alerts when mistakes happen to ensure that operators complete builds correctly before the next step in the process. Through the power of AI, Retrocausal enables manufacturing operators to resolve errors in real-time before a product goes to the next build stage.
This is a game-changing paradigm, as the U.S. manufacturing skills gap could leave 2.1 million jobs unfilled by 2030. Founder and CEO, Dr. Zeeshan Zia and the Retrocausal team have developed the Pathfinder platform to improve yields, reduce manual assembly-related quality issues, and minimize operator training, helping address the manufacturing skills gap. Retrocausal’s platform allows manufacturers to avoid mistakes during the build process by 83%. It helps increase companies’ bottom lines, which has attracted the attention of prominent manufacturers.
Retrocausal recently partnered with Honda Innovations, Inc. for a proof-of-concept deployment through the Honda Xcelerator program. In addition, Retrocausal has an agreement with Siemens Digital Industries Software to “close the loop” between the manufacturing design phase and the manufacturing execution phase for human-centric operations.
