Glitch Finance is excited to partner with Lumos Labs, a leading Web3 innovation management firm, to accelerate developer adoption of the GLITCH blockchain through a three-phase plan. This partnership will capitalize on Lumos Labs’ Buidl for Web3 Global Hackathon and merge Glitch’s developer outreach with Lumos’ initiatives, including educational code-along workshops, a thrilling hackathon event, and a grand finale Developer Summit, driving growth and innovation within the GLITCH ecosystem.
Lumos Labs has a proven track record of executing over 50+ developer engagement programs for top Web3 players in the industry like Binance, NEAR, Tezos, Hedera Hashgraph, and Polygon, and has deployed over $10M into the hands of builders. This partnership will leverage the momentum gained from the Buidl for Web3 Hack, utilizing the Lumos Metaverse — an immersive virtual platform that connects developers, Web3 communities, and technology providers — to streamline collaboration by addressing challenges such as the fragmented marketplace for development opportunities and developer scarcity.
Glitch x Lumos Labs
The partnership between Glitch and Lumos Labs aims to incentivize developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) on the GLITCH blockchain through a three-phase plan.
Phase One: Education — Starting April 2023
The first phase is Education, which involves a series of learning initiatives co-branded by Glitch and Lumos. These include dynamic college roadshows and immersive virtual sessions featuring Blockchain 101 workshops and hands-on coding experiences where attendees will learn how to build on GLITCH. To ensure developers have access to the necessary resources for building dApps, all learning-focused content from Glitch will be hosted on Lumos Labs’ Education Portal. Phase Two: Hackathon — Starting June 2023
Glitch will present three unique use case challenges to over 10,000 global developers as a track sponsor, encouraging them to build on Glitch and apply knowledge gained from the educational initiatives. During Lumos Lab’s Buidl for Web3 Hack 2023, a flagship Web3-focused chain-agnostic hackathon, participants will demonstrate their skills over two months to create innovative dApps, working on diverse use cases, and competing for a significant prize pool of over $100,000!
Phase Three: Developer Summit — Starting Summer 2023
After the Hackathon, the grand finale will take place in person over a two-day Developer Summit in Bangalore, India, where the hackathon finalists will polish their final submissions and present them to an expert panel of judges. The summit offers a prime opportunity for developers to drive innovation and ecosystem growth by deploying their applications directly on the blockchain, while simultaneously providing Glitch a chance to connect with developers and encourage them to build.
Beyond this, the partnership will enable Glitch to establish a virtual headquarters within the Lumos Metaverse, which offers a one-stop-shop for developers to find learning, earning, and job opportunities and connect with others in the Web3 space. Glitch will benefit from streamlined access to ecosystem opportunities, a platform to host community activities and events, as well as real-time analytics. By embracing the Lumos Metaverse, Glitch will strengthen its presence within the developer community, fostering growth and adoption of the GLITCH ecosystem.
