Monthly Update — June 2023
Mainnet May was a successful month packed with several milestone achievements ushering in a new era for the GLITCH blockchain.
Following the completion of the Merge, the release of the new GLITCH Technical White Paper and Lite Paper, and the successful launch of native smart contracts, developers are now fully equipped with the tools needed to build and deploy money market dApps on the native chain. The future of GLITCH has arrived!
Amongst the Mainnet May deliverables, the team has had an informative month holding several spaces and AMAs, engaging in Glitch-focused developer workshops in India, nurturing the growth of the Build on Glitch and Glitch Grant campaigns, and much more.
As we pause to reflect on our remarkable progress thus far, it's essential to recognize that this is just the beginning. The future of GLITCH holds immense potential, and we are excited to continue on this journey together, shaping the landscape of decentralized finance.

A Look Back At May
Mainnet May in Review
Three years in the making, GLITCH has entered a new era enabling utility to flow into the network.
The Merge — Blockchain Upgrade, Browser-extension Wallet, and Explorer
We completed the Merge, a blockchain upgrade aligning GLITCH's codebase with the latest Substrate featureset. The Merge ensured a plethora of benefits to our ecosystem, including enhanced scalability, improved security, and the longevity of the ecosystem.
Technical White Paper 2.0 and Lite Paper
We were proud to release the new GLITCH Technical White Paper and Lite Paper. These comprehensive resources delve deep into the GLITCH blockchain's technical specifications, plans, and core fundamentals. We encourage every community member to dive into these papers to thoroughly understand our ecosystem and the path we are carving toward its success.
Native Smart Contracts and Documentation
One of the most critical achievements of Mainnet May was the deployment of the Contracts Pallet, alongside detailed documentation to guide developers in leveraging the power of native smart contracts effectively. With Native Smart Contracts now available on the mainnet, a world of possibilities emerges, enabling DeFi money market applications to be created and deployed on the GLITCH blockchain.
Mainnet Bridge
We're moving in the right direction for the launch of the mainnet bridge, which we believe will be ready for deployment by the end of this upcoming week. During last week's rollout process, we encountered a couple of minor issues that required immediate attention. Our top priority is the security of everyone's assets, so we have decided to address these issues before deploying the bridge in a live environment. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work diligently to bring the bridge online as soon as possible, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for the community.

Glitch x Lumos Labs Workshops
We're on a mission to bring GLITCH to builders everywhere, and our engagements with Lumos Labs have been a significant success so far. We were proud to co-host several developer workshop events across India alongside Lumos in Chennai and Bangalore. Developers at the events learned about the network and then got hands-on with creating an EVM smart contract.

These events form part of the first phase of our collaboration with Lumos to boost developer adoption of the GLITCH blockchain. Moving forward, we will focus on the upcoming BuidlForWeb3 Hackathon this summer and drive more developers to build on GLITCH!

Hacken Selected as GLITCH Network Audit Partner
We were excited to reveal that Hacken, a renowned cybersecurity blockchain auditing company, has been selected to audit and secure the GLITCH blockchain. With Hacken's expertise, we will ensure the elimination of potential vulnerabilities in the network.
In addition, as a part of this partnership, Hacken will host a bug bounty program on their platform, Hackenproof, providing an additional layer of security. We're also excited to collaborate with Hacken to offer a free bug bounty program in the future for any dApp developed on the GLITCH network, further fortifying the ecosystem.
Glitch is committed to working hand in hand with Hacken as our preferred auditing partner as we prioritize the security and integrity of the platform. We look forward to the numerous opportunities this collaboration brings as we continue to build a resilient and trusted blockchain ecosystem together. Unlocking Cross-Chain Liquidity with Routers' Voyager
Together with Router Protocol, we've embarked on a multi-path journey to bring seamless cross-chain liquidity transfers and token swaps to both platforms.
By integrating Router's Voyager dApp on the Glitch Bridge, users can trade cross-chain assets across multiple networks for GLCH in just a few clicks. But that's not all; our partnership goes beyond the Glitch Bridge as we work towards the future integration of the native Glitch network and GRC-20 token into the Voyager platform and Router ecosystem, enhancing the interoperability and expanding the reach of both networks.

Marketing and Community Updates
Alongside our key deliverables and network upgrade efforts, it's been an eventful month for marketing and community updates as we continue to make strides in expanding our presence and spreading the word on GLITCH.

We hosted another engaging Twitter Space with our partners at O3 Labs, where we delved into the upcoming plans of our partnership to integrate native GLCH and future GRC-20 assets into the O3 Swap platform. We're making headlines again! Glitch's rise as a prominent layer-1 blockchain garnered attention in a feature article on CoinGape and Bitcoinist. Looking Ahead to June
As we set our sights on June, we are thrilled to prepare for the following exciting mainnet milestones and the flourishing ecosystem built on the GLITCH blockchain. In the coming months, we have several developments on the horizon that will further shape the future of GLITCH.
In June, we’re determined to get the mainnet bridge deployed. We have an AMA planned with Hacken. We're prepared to introduce several development teams building on GLITCH. The Glitch Decentralized Exchange (GEX) is in active development, and more information will be rolled out to the community this month regarding what it's all about. And we're working with Lumos Labs to prepare for the upcoming BuidlForWeb3 Hackathon this summer. These are just some items we’re working towards now, with more in the pipeline.
With Mainnet May in the books, there's still much to look forward to. We're on a mission to drive adoption to the GLITCH chain, and with your support, we're confident that Glitch has a great future ahead of it.
