Q4 has finally arrived, Glitchers! You can feel the excitement in the air. A new era of Glitch is almost here. #MainnetQ4

We’ve got a lot to cover this month so let’s dive right into it. In September, we put our heads down and focused on getting everything lined up for upcoming product releases. And as we enter Q4, we’re kicking it up yet another gear. Here’s a recap of September, and look ahead to what’s coming in October.

September Recap

Genesis Pool

Our collaboration with Genesis Pool (GPool) is already bearing fruit. In September, GPool ran their inaugural IDO for DePo followed up shortly by one for Transient. DePo did an 18x post-launch and we can’t wait to see what comes next on the GPool platform. We’re encouraged by these signs that healthy growth is already occurring, which can immediately be plugged into GLITCH upon mainnet launch.

Team additions

We added a few key personnel in September, and if you missed their announcements, we’re happy to re-introduce them: Mai Nguyen and Vuong Hang. To recap, Mai is an experienced Product Manager who will help increase organizational efficiency and improve productivity across the board. Vuong is an experienced QA Specialist who will help us scale an internal testing program. Both Mai and Vuong are welcome additions and will be indispensable parts of the team going forward.

Technology updates

The final few months of 2021 will be a critical time for Glitch Finance. As such, we’re putting together a stand-alone technology report to update the community and set the stage for the coming mainnet launch. This report will be published within the week, and in the interim, here are a few highlights from September.

The development team continues to work on ensuring that the revenue sharing and GEX MVP are fine-tuned. In terms of GEX MVP, we’re deploying it in a private testnet to speed up the development and testing process. The timelines for these deliverables are on target.

Glitch continues to work with Genesis Pool to co-develop the GPOOL launchpad staking platform and interoperable bridge. The bridge that is being developed for GPOOL is a similar iteration release of the Glitch bridge with some updated functionalities.

We’ve also made some UX updates to the GLITCH explorer and wallet, the main conduits that connect users to our testnet. These updates were intended to make user interactions easier and showcase our dedication to making continuous product improvements.

Marketing & Community updates

Applications for the Glitch Community Advocate Program were under review this month. And we were overwhelmed with the response — over 200 applications from 27 different countries!

We’re thrilled that there are so many people interested in getting involved with Glitch. We plan to make the most of this interest and continue cultivating geo-specific community growth.

If you’re still interested in applying, all the details can be found on our Community Advocate page.

Our design team also introduced the first round of Glitch-themed wallpapers for desktop and mobile devices this month. We thought this would be a fun and tangible way for people to rep Glitch, and the response we’ve received has been very positive. We’ll be sure to continue doing this every couple of months, and if you’d like to suggest a unique design feel free to drop it in our suggestion box.

Additionally, in September, we teamed up with Bitboy Crypto to sponsor the Bitverse Punks NFT drop. This initiative allowed BitBoy and his crew to do a small GLCH token buyback on the open market and airdrop to their community for those who had held Ace, one of the rare NFTs. This collaboration will open the door to other opportunities, and we’re looking forward to doing more together in the future.

Overall, the Glitch community is growing at a steady clip. In September, we hit 15,000 Twitter followers and 8,000 telegram members, both exciting milestones. Thank you to all of our early supporters!

October Preview

Team additions

The biggest hiring news in recent times for Glitch will drop this month. We’ve recently onboarded a new team leader who will play an absolutely central role in creating the core foundation and growing the Glitch ecosystem. Announcement is coming!

If you’re interested in working with us, feel free to send your resume to hello@glitch.finance.

Technology updates

As we build Glitch, we want to be as transparent as possible. As our Github is currently private, we’re making an intentional effort to share here. In terms of technology, there’s so much to talk about this month that we’re releasing a separate article that will be released within the week. This update will include a peek at some of our product and preliminary testing results, a look into Q4 and what to expect, and expansion on some overall timelines in terms of deliverables. Stay tuned!

Marketing & Community updates

This month, our CEO Sean Ryan is slated for several interviews and appearances to talk about current developments and answer questions about Glitch.

With two new hires now integrated into the marketing team, you can also expect more activity on the social media and community fronts. Overall, we will continue to work hard at delivering up-to-date content and spreading the message of Glitch. We now also have a lot more bandwidth to lock in partnership opportunities to help expand the Glitch ecosystem.

In addition, we will be doing three NFT collaborations during Q4, the first of which will get underway in October. Below is an image with hidden alpha in the designs, can you guess who our NFT collaborators might be?

For those who pay attention, this is a chance to collect limited edition Glitch-related NFTs on Ethereum. If you thought that the NFT sponsorship last month was the first collaboration, think again! Full details will be announced soon.

In October, we’re also going to begin the onboarding process for new Glitch Community Advocates. We’re currently targeting English, Spanish and Indonesian-speaking regions and are looking to build on that. As we onboard more advocates, the first expansion areas will be Japan, India, China, Turkey, and Germany. Other countries will be added over time, and we’re excited to get fresh people on board to help us grow. Each Glitch community advocate that is successfully onboarded will be featured on the glitch.finance website.

Towards the end of the month and into November, we’ll begin to replace some “Coming soon” web pages ahead of the v3.0 website update that will take place in Q4. There’s more to look forward to this month, so you’ll have to wait and see what happens.

These are very exciting times for Glitch as we inch closer each day to realizing one of our biggest milestones. Keep an eye out for our comprehensive Q3 technology report and big team news. And stay tuned to our Twitter and Telegram channels for further updates.

Until next month,

— Team Glitch
