January is a miserable month. Our Christmas and New Year’s celebrations are over, the decorations are down, the chocolates have been eaten and the Christmas tipples have been drunk — it’s easy to see why we get the January blues— but it doesn’t have to be this way!

Studies have found links between access to nature and increased self esteem, mental wellbeing and happiness. In fact, people who live near trees and green spaces generally suffer less with depression.

I recently wrote a list of 10 ways to get outdoors and be happy — but not content with just writing my tips, I decided to go out and try some of them out. You can see how I got on in my latest vlog for Global Action Plan.
