France and Germany consumer sentiment: “Meh”

French consumer spending increased 0.1 % month-on-month only, following a 0.3 per cent rise in June and a 1.1 per cent climb in May. This may signal that the French economy growth continue to be sluggish. [FT]

Also, the German GfK Consumer Confidence recorded a slight decline from 10.6 to 10.5 for September.

The two statistics shows signs of worry in the household spending.
