Ciao, I’m Luca.

For years I worked as a consultant and brought Italy’s leading media companies into the digital age.

Today I’m an entreprenur focused on innovation and public interaction through the use of IoT technologies.

You can follow my twitter account @lb879.

Two years ago, with a great team, we launched our latest project based on Apple’s iBeacon technology.

Quibee (www.quibee.it) is transforming physical places into media hubs, providing entertainment and content in unexpected settings.

It is a SaaS proximity marketing platform that boost interactions between brands and their customers.

Our clients are able to refine and improve their products (digital content delivery) using the data collected from targeted geolocal and geofenced markets.

The end user enjoys newspapers, magazines, and books simply and hassle-free.

If you have not experienced the Italian riviera, I invite you to rent a cabin and an umbrella at one of the thousands of ‘bagni’ — bathhouses — to get a sense of where Quibee is really making waves.

Building on our success at the beach, we’ve placed our platform on cruise ships and ferry lines, expanding our presence from Capo Verde to the Caribbean.

With over 6 million reachable users in these localized markets, we have decided to go full throttle with the platform and engineer pxomity tools that can be implemented directly by our clients, opening possibilities to interact with their customers “in the right place at the right time with the right content”.

Currently our objective is to bring our technology, already familiar to big corporations and global brands, to all the SMEs.

We faced, and are still facing, two main obstacles.

The first is the reeducation of a publishing industry stuck in the old ways of selling content. We encourage them to see the advantages of interacting with their clients in a new paradigm that has the possibility for growing profit margins.

The second obstacle lies in the Italian ecosystem for startups.

There is a scarce financial and technical infrastructure to support growth and development beyond the famous ‘FFF stage’ of a start-up project. We are working to develop a local culture that protects startups and recognizes their importance role in turning ideas into products, measuring customer response, and growing the economy beyond the traditional agriculture and manufacturing bases.

Happy to be attending GES2016 and to meet inspiring entrepreneurs and investors!
