Meet GES Delegate: Mykhailo Lytovchenko

Name: MODULAR BREAKWATER-POWER PLANT

Twitter handle: @mi_litov

 Country of Origin: Ukraine

 Organization Name: 2mike

Brief Description of Organization

2mike is working toward the establishment of the industrial production of modular breakwater-power plants for generation of electricity and cheap autonomous desalination of sea water.

What inspired you to start this organization?

In the segment of autonomous equipment for power generation and desalination of sea water there is no technical solution that is acceptable from an economic and environmental point of view. The burning of fossil fuels pollute the environment, but the use of wind and solar power plants is costly to consumers and requires a great deal of physical space.

What is the next big step you hope to help your organization reach?

We started the creation of industrial design (installed capacity of 5kW), and now need to conduct full-scale tests under real conditions in summer.

What has been your biggest obstacle as an entrepreneur?

The biggest problem is to struggle with the illusions.

For no apparent reason, most people believe that wind turbines and solar panels are able to generate cheap electricity; Many “experts” believe that somewhere there are successfully operating wave energy converters; and that oil companies bought Tesla’s inventions and hid them in safes.

But now I know about this problem and is willing to solve it at the stage of marketing!

What advice would you give other emerging entrepreneurs?
You need to work well for the realization of the project. And, if you initially calculated correctly, the rewards will be a natural consequence of your success.

And, of course, you need to believe in what you are doing!
