The GlobaliD App just got a mammoth update, which you can now download at your favorite app store—iOS or Android.
This release includes a variety of new features related to Messaging, Groups, Verifications, and core app functionality. In this version, GlobaliD users will be able to:
- See Groups they are a member of on their own Profile
- Create a multi-person chat to message with up to 36 other users in the same thread. Users have the option to include a Title and Description for messaging thread, and can leave at any point. All messages are end-to-end encrypted
- Send and receive Vouches from other users. Vouches that are received and approved will be visible on the user’s profile
- Receive live feedback on quality of images being taken or uploaded as submissions to verification partners like Onfido and Au10tix
- Use the redesigned Verification Store that now groups Verifications by category so it is cleaner and easier to understand (iOS only)
Also included:
- Various improvements to required Verification flow from partners. Now, when user opens the application and there are required verifications, the list of required verifications will be opened directly on app launch
- Various improvements to design and spacing of Message threads so that more message threads are visible at one time on homepage and so that it’s overall more intuitive for users to use messaging
- Fixes related to badge count issues

This is a MONSTER release with lots of great work from most teams @ GlobaliD, requiring lots of coordination, so congrats to everyone involved and a special thanks to project managers and QA for helping to get this out smoothly and effectively.
It’s also a big deal in general for the continued progress of the GlobaliD mission.
We believe that identity is the permission to act. So it’s not just about owning your identity and your data, it’s also about what you can do with it. That’s why the ability to transact and communicate are core to our vision.
In order to achieve that, every GlobaliD will be connected to a wallet and also include robust messaging functionality.
This latest update makes huge strides in the latter.
