Due to the use of fossil fuels, carbon ratios in the atmosphere are increasing. The increased carbon ratio causes the atmosphere to warm up. The warming atmosphere melts the ice, causes the oceans to warm up and leads to drought. The melting of the glaciers on the mountain peaks and poles, as well as the increase in their volume due to the warming of the oceans: causes sea levels to rise. A large part of the world’s population and economy is located in the coastal regions. It is also the case for river basins that are moving towards the inner parts. There will be serious problems in the world due to climate change. I have listed some of these situations below.

  • Issues (like sea level rise, droughts, floods, storms depending on climate change) may cause to being Climate Refugee of one billion people by 2050s.
  • 2 million km2 of land and 1 trillion US dollar worth of assets are also approximately 1 meter high from the sea level.
  • In Africa, 40–60 million people will catch malaria as a result of a 2–3 °C increase in temperature. & 70–80 million people will catch malaria as a result of a 3–4 °C increase in temperature.
  • A warning of 2.9 centigrade celsius would cause an estimated 21- 52 % of all existing species to disappear forever (more than million species).
  • Third great extinction in Earth History is approaching due to anthropogenic Climate Change. 99.9% of critically endangered species will be lost & take the earth more than 3 million yrs to recover.
  • Ocean waves are getting stronger as water temperatures rise each year.
  • Due to climate change, the emerging of natural disasters in the next 10–15 years may be doubled.
  • 11 years of the 12 years between 1995 and 2006 were the hottest years since 1850.
  • Harvey, Irma, and Maria Hurricanes damaged the U.S. $267 billion.
  • 470 to 760 million people could lose their territory as a result of rising sea levels in this century.
  • Due to climate change, 45 million people are thought to be malnourished.
  • There are nearly potential 300 conflicts over water according to UN.
  • In 2016, 24 million people replaced due to climate change.
  • About 150,000 people die every year due to climate change.
