Annual Report 2017–2018

The Global Shapers Community as a network of young people driving dialogue, action and change, we believe the core relies in the selfless efforts and passion that every member has towards creating a fulfilling environment having others in mind.

Shapers are the heart of any Hub, and despite the common activities developed by each entity with guidance and support from the World Economic Forum in terms of connectivity, inspiration, resources and network, individuals are still the core of any act of service and activity with the society in mind.

This year (term 2017–2018) inside the Global Shapers Chisinau Hub as a growing entity in a saturated civic society market, the focus was to define the values and differentiation of being a shaper in this city, taking lines where we could as initiative group blend our backgrounds expertise and contribute in a meaningful way to the pressing issues here that can be actionable.

The starter team formed by individuals working in Tech, Startups & Entrepreneurship, Civic Participation and Economic Growth and Development, interconnected their contacts and knowledge to enlarge the impact that each of them was taking actions already.

Being a support body for the activities the fellow shapers were implementing, we got to get a broader idea in which areas we had to work together, and with the future members of the organization.

While technology is one of the main topics discussed while talking about progress, there are other issues that come as basic for the well-living of the population in Moldova, such as Economic Growth, Employability Skills, and Health.

Society as the core of Shaper’s Jobs.

While several of Chisinau Hub members work in the Civic Society Sector, we matched the corporate sector members to support the following activities lead by our members.
