What is Global Shapers Community?
The Global Shapers is an initiative of the World Economic Forum, which unites young people and helps them make an impact to improve the state of the world. The Shapers Community is a network of Hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a contribution to their communities.
What is Global Shapers Warsaw Hub?
The Warsaw Hub has been founded in 2012 and is the only hub in Poland. We currently have 21 members, who come from a variety of backgrounds, working in a range of industries, united by their exceptional potential and passion to change the world by working with the local community. Our members include activists, executives, entrepreneurs, academics, lawyers, technologists, economists and many others.
What is World Economic Forum?
World Economic Forum (perhaps best known for organizing the annual Davos conference) engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. It was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It is independent, impartial and not tied to any special interests. The Forum strives in all its efforts to demonstrate entrepreneurship in the global public interest while upholding the highest standards of governance. Moral and intellectual integrity is at the heart of everything it does. Our activities are shaped by a unique institutional culture founded on the stakeholder theory, which asserts that an organization is accountable to all parts of society. The institution carefully blends and balances the best of many kinds of organizations, from both the public and private sectors, international organizations and academic institutions.
