Each year, Nordic Startup Awards receives applications from hundreds of new apps trying to hustle their way to victory. 2017 has been no exception, and the Nordic startup scene has given birth to plenty of innovative apps we’re excited for.
As we approach our National Finales, we wanted to introduce the apps contending for our “Best Newcomer” awards for Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
New Danish Apps.
Artland
Artland connects art lovers worldwide. From the established collector, gallerist or artist to the novice with a budding interest. Our common ground is our passion for art; it feeds our curiosity and makes us strive for more.
Bookbites
With BookBites, books are divided up into palatable, time-based segments, or “bites.” The amount and length of these bites automatically adapt to suit the student’s individual reading level and speed.
Harba
Harba allows you to easily pay for berth or mooring. You just dock, pay through your phone and get all the codes and information you need to use the facilities of the harbour. Several marinas even allow you to book spots in advance through Harba. When you reserve a spot you will get a map with an overview of the harbour.

Zadaa is a marketplace app that helps you to sell and buy clothes that fit by connecting you to people who have a similar size and style.

Ari.farm is a Stockholm based startup that has developed an exciting online platform that enables anyone anywhere in the world to easily invest in livestock in Africa by buying, owning and selling animals online.
Road to victory.
Starting September 1st, the “Best Newcomer” awards will be handed out at each country’s National Finale, beginning with Iceland. The winners will be selected from these apps and other competing startups by our juries. The national victors will then go on to compete in our Grand Finale, October 18th in Stockholm, where the regional champions will be announced.
