When the email from Tiffany came, first I was excited. Then when I saw the date of 21st September matched with a flight my husband was already doing to New York (he’s a pilot :) , the stars aligned and I had to go. I was on my way to Mogul X.

A few years ago, I was very honoured to feature Tiffany Pham, founder of Mogul, in my Huffpost series on Trailblazing Women. Now she had kindly invited me to go to her signature event for Milennials in New York called Mogul X. And at the last minute, I got to become a Dean and MC the whole finance track, showcasing THE Suze Orman, among other amazing speakers on Finance. Suze gave 3 amazing workshops on how to manage your money and I applied some of her great advice as soon as I got back home to Paris! (thank you Suze!)

About Mogul X

Ranked as one of the top women’s conferences in the US, Mogul X once again brought together its diverse community of world-class female talent, CEOs, Celebrities, Professors, Recruiters, and Sponsors from top companies worldwide, with a focus on diversity & inclusion, learning, and opportunity.

Mogul X encompasses classroom sessions on topics that Mogul has assessed diverse talent wishes to have learned in school, but did not. Topics ranged from “Creating A Sales Strategy for Your Business” to “Networking Your Way to the Top” to “Finding A Mentor.” Participants walked away with key takeaways that set them up for success to accomplish both professional and personal goals. It has an innovative format. Guests select their own schedules from a curated program throughout this “modern growth experience” that consists of keynotes, intimate Q&As, delicious food and drinks, 1-on-1 coaching within the Counselor Lounge, and recruitment by top companies worldwide within Mogul’s cutting-edge space for Recruiters.

The space was wonderful, and we got a great Mogul X backpack full of healthy goodies as well as a copy of Tiffany’s book (You Are a Mogul) and a lovely bottle from Swell. Cool perks!!

Creating the Global Invest Her x Mogul X Competition

As part of the opportunity, I was able to get some special tickets to the event and decided to run a Global Invest Her x Mogul X competition to allow 3 women entrepreneurs to go for free!

And the Winners Are…

I was thrilled to be able to meet two of our winners in person, Abir Chermiti a software engineer who is creating her own international network for women in tech and Meesen Brown, founder of Behere. Our third winner was Nellie Stokeld, founder of Gravitatas, the new brand of relaxing bras coming soon.

Anne Ravanona and Abir Chermiti have a point to make about Hustling!

Our winners and other participants were able to meet and build relationships with other talented, like-minded women while developing and learning from some of the greatest minds of our time across industries. The day was packed with over 80 speakers and counselors, dozens of recruiters and sponsors, and over 1,500 attendees from across the nation and abroad to connect with each other and interact directly on the professional and personal subjects of Work, Finance, Relationships, Travel, and Health & Wellness. The energy and positivity was palpable.

How you can become a Mogul? Here are my 3 tips:

  • Get inspired by Tiffany’s story about how she set up Mogul — read her book — You are a Mogul — have already gifted one to my daughter!
  • Join the Mogul Community online
  • Meet your tribe of awesome women! Find the meetup or network that suits you best, where you can go often and network/share/learn with other moguls.

I was so happy to meet Tiffany and Suze in person, as well as our competition winners, the other excellent speakers and participants on the day. I’ll be checking in on our winners again, in a couple of months, to see how MogulX helped them on their journeys to become moguls. So, remember, keep an eye out for Mogul X next year. It promises to be even better!
