Our friends at the PRME Anti-Poverty Working Group pass along these timely opportunities for students, academics, and practitioners of responsible leadership to engage more fully in our community.

Many of these opportunities are on the theme of “Leadership for Advancing the SDGs” connected to the 5th RME Research Conference in Cologne, Germany on 11–12, November, the 6th PRME Regional Chapter DACH Meeting (12 Nov.) and 8th International Conference on Sustainability and Responsibility (14–15 Nov.).

For Students: Global Survey on Students’ Views of the SDGs and Poverty in Management Education

Academic Calls for Contribution

30 September 2018 Deadline: Submit your paper, extended abstract or work in progress to the 5th RME Research Conference on Leadership Development for Advancing the SDGS. First, create an account and then submit your contribution.

11 January 2019 Deadline: You are kindly encouraged to submit to the Call for Contributions for the Special Issue of the International Journal of Management Education (IJME).

Student Engagement Opportunities

Video Competition: Student Voices on Responsible Management Education
Deadline: 14 October
As part of the 5th RME Research Conference, students are invited to submit 2-minute videos on “Responsible Management Education”. Detailed information about the contest can be found at https://www.mci.edu/prme4us.

Conference Scholarship Opportunity
Young PhDs and students below the age of 30 can apply for a scholarship to the 8th International Conference on Sustainability & Responsibility, Cologne, Germany on 14–15 November. Applicants are encouraged to send a 600-word essay about their best leadership story or why they are one of the “world’s young leaders” plus their CV and photo to Anna Toennessen. The conference seeks applicants from diverse backgrounds, mind sets, skills and nationalities.

5th International Student Essay Competition on Leadership for Advancing the SDGs
Deadline: 30 October
Co-sponsored by the PRME Anti-Poverty Working Group, the 2018 essay theme, topics, and submission details can be found here. Competition results will be presented at the 5th RME Resarch Conference in Cologne.
