TRAVEL/AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY/INSPIRATION
An Aerial View of the Washington Metropolitan Area
A photo essay from the sky
“Because when you stop and look around, this life is pretty amazing.” — Dr. Seuss
I recently took a flight to visit family in the Washington, DC, metro area.
As we began our descent into Washington National Airport, which is located across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. in Arlington, Virginia, I peered out the window and clicked several aerial photos.
I never cease to be amazed by how beautiful the Washington, DC area is.
Aerial Photography
We can learn a great deal about cities by viewing them from above. It would be fascinating to fly over landscapes and cities and capture everything below.
Aerial photography is challenging to master since you are in a moving aircraft with windows.
In some of the pictures, it was cool to see the shadow of the United Express Embraer Regional Jet I was flying on.
