Shared Gorge

Niagara Falls is one of those places you just never forget. The roar of the water, the mist floating through the air, and of course, the tourists!

My husband and I both grew up in Western New York. After college, and living in the Mid-Atlantic region for several years, we returned to Buffalo to buy our first home. That home was only 45 minutes away from “the falls.”

We went often. We had picnics, went on the Maid of the Mist, and just reveled in the power of the water. The Maid of the Mist is a boat that takes patrons to the base of the Horseshoe Falls. It is an experience not to be missed!

At the time, you could visit without a passport! We prefer the Canadian side of the falls but both sides exhibit the power of water!
