Daily Retired Life Living Rurally in the Wisconsin Northwoods
While not exciting, our days are filled with hobbies and nature
Over the last nine months, we’ve had only a few “normal” days. Between caring for my aging and increasingly ill father in New York to a trip to Ireland and a month in the Carribean, we have not been home to maintain our normal schedule. In fact, between last June and now, we were gone for 19 weeks.
Now, with the long-planned trips out of the way, and my father’s recent passing, it is time to resume our normal life in Wisconsin.
One of the things my husband and I noticed, during all this time away, was that our hobbies play a huge part in our daily lives. We missed them while we were away.
Even towards the end of the month of warm beach days in the Virgin Islands, we began to miss the hobbies did at home during our day-to-day life.
This isn’t about my writing craft. Fortunately, you can write anywhere. And I did so productively, too, having two articles boosted last month during my time away. I write everyday, even if I don’t publish, as I have writing obligations…
