Discovering the Coast of Poland: Kolberg
A great and affordable city for a beach holiday in Europe!

Last summer, my boyfriend and I went on a holiday to Kolberg (also known as Kołobrzeg in Polish)!
Coming from Germany, many people here go to the German “Ost- or Nordsee” (aka the Baltic or the Nordic Sea) in the very North of Germany for a beach holiday.
But… this coast continues all the way to Poland!
And so, instead of going to the typical coasts of Germany that we’ve been to quite a few times, we wanted to explore a new place!
It was the first time we went and we absolutely loved it!
Preparations
Before our travel, we booked the essentials:
- Travel: via Flixbus (from Berlin there’s a direct connection for 4–5 hours)
- Accommodation: via Airbnb (we got a very modern Airbnb with kitchen and large living room and bedroom for around 60€ a night — for both of us)
