What I loved about Edinburgh was being able to walk to work through a beautiful place.

Sangam and I visited Edinburgh with our friends in December 2023. We visited this charming city for a day trip.

It was a long drive from Newcastle upon Tyne to Edinburgh for us. As we drove towards Edinburgh, we doubted if it was a good decision to drive in this weather. The weather was worse with heavy rains and harsh wind. Driving became extremely difficult and tedious for us. However, we managed to reach Edinburgh around 2 p.m.

It was still cloudy, but we were glad that it was at least not raining. We wasted no time and decided to search for a restaurant for lunch. The experience of walking around the city was incredibly beautiful and surreal. The place was as charming and exquisite as I had read in the books.

We found a comfy restaurant and had a scrumptious lunch so that we wouldn’t get hungry anytime soon. We decided to head towards Edinburgh…
