Endless Views of the City of Évora
Exploring the picturesque town and admiring its location
I had never heard of the city before. Originally we were supposed to fly to Spain. Sevilla my friend had said but then she was talking about booking flights to Évora. I had to take out the map to find out where in the world we were going for this business trip.
Yes, it was a trip for work but if you’re taking me anywhere, you’ll know I’ll find the chance to do some exploring of the surroundings anyway. While I’m no city person and usually prefer to explore nature over human settlements, I was intrigued by the old charm of this place.
The hostel we were staying at offered us already an interesting view. We could see into the backyard of a local house from our window. On Sunday evening kids were running around and groups of adults were sitting together enjoying a beer or two and chatting the night away.
