Hi Globetrotters. My name is… Audrey Stimson
I come from…I was born in Bonn, Germany, but I am an American. My father was working for the United States government and stationed in Germany. My mother was German, so I speak both German and English fluently.
I grew up hopscotching back and forth between the Washington DC area and Europe. I graduated High School from the American International School in Vienna, Austria.
After that I headed west to California. After four years at the University of California in Santa Barbara I graduated and let the travel bug take me back on the road again. I first moved to Boston for a couple of years, but I got restless. So I quit my desk job and I took a round-the-world trip in the late 1980s. I became a “digital nomad” before the concept was even a thing and before our current travelers were even born.
I have been to over 50 countries. It was my philosophy to see as much as possible before I hit 30 — which was a long time ago.
I also lived in Paris for about six years and one year in London.
